At Laroue Laines, everything starts at the source. Our trucks travel across France to collect fleeces directly from farmers, ensuring full traceability and an in-depth understanding of every batch. Each year, we bring 1,200 tonnes of 100% French wool to our site in Mazamet, in the Tarn region, where it is sorted, prepared, and directed according to its quality and end use.

We specialise in merino wool, prized for its fineness and exceptional quality — perfect for clothing and textiles. We also work with other wool types suited to specific applications, including bedding and textile processing. This careful selection process allows us to offer premium French wool for a demanding, sustainable, and responsible industry.

Wool in the Grease
Greasy wool retains its natural state straight after shearing. It is an authentic raw material, sourced directly from collection, ideal for professionals seeking raw French wool that stays true to its natural loft and fineness.
Washed Wool
Washed wool has had grease, mineral matter, and vegetable residue removed to produce a cleaner, softer fibre ready for the next stages of processing. It provides a high-quality base for a range of textile and technical applications.
Combed Wool
Combed wool is processed to align the fibres in parallel and improve their consistency. This preparation results in a more even material, particularly valued for spinning and for products requiring fineness, softness, and structure.
Yarn
