LAROUE S.A.S. is a company specialising in the valorisation of French wool.
We collect our wool directly from farmers/breeders.
We sort our wool at our premises in Mazamet, in the Tarn region, the historic home of wool in France.
We make bales of approximately 500 kg, intended for washing facilities or for export.
Laroue S.A.S. works with partner companies on a subcontracting basis for washing, combing, dyeing and spinning.
We sell wool in greasy (in the grease), scoured, carbonised, combed (sliver or top), and yarn form.
We work with all types of clients who use wool: spinning mills, weaving mills, bedding manufacturers, and more.
The Stages of Wool Valorisation
Collection
Laroue Laines collects 100% French wool directly from farmers. This close relationship ensures optimal traceability, rigorous selection, and local valorisation in service of a more responsible supply chain.
Sorting
In Mazamet, each batch of wool is carefully sorted using local expertise inherited from the wool-pulling (délainage) tradition, in order to reveal its full potential. Fineness, length, colour and fibre quality are meticulously assessed to direct each lot towards its most suitable use.
Storage
After sorting, the wool is blended for consistency and then packed into bales for organised, controlled storage. This essential step preserves the quality of the fibres ahead of their processing and future valorisation.
